Hello, I'm Naomi - welcome to my blog.
I'm hesitant to use the word "blog" because it sounds quite important and like it has something worthwhile to say. "Blog" suggests authority.
This place has no such attributes.
It's simply a place I use to tune and practice my writing skills. It's personal, inconsistent and irreverent. If these are qualities you're drawn too by all means stick around, but I make no promises about the effect on your intellect or general physical wellbeing.
If you've got this far, I'm thankful but also a bit pitying. Don't you have something better to be doing than lurking on some internet rando's webpage?
Since you're clearly interested I'll tell you a bit about myself. I'm 40, I live in the UK (Wiltshire), and I'm married to my lovely wife Beth. I have a dog called Pickle. I'll probably post lots of photos of her here.
As is customary with online introductions, here's a random assortment of things I like:
- reading
- gardening
- birdwatching
- thinking about the past, present and future of the internet
- biscuits
- the occasional video game
- cross-stitch
- music (lots of different kinds but mostly rock and indie)
I love people (well, some people, and the list gets shorter every year) but find them exhausting and would describe myself as an introvert. I'm rarely bored and quite a home body, but I do like adventures from time to time.
The URL of this site is a variation of "Naybs", a nickname Beth uses for me.
